Driveway

Driveway

The 880 ft. driveway has always been a matter of some concern. The first 450 ft. is shared with a neighbor on Lot 9. We had it punched though the woods and two hills to get back to the logging road that cut across all the lots in this subdivision. The hills were pushed into the deep kettle (hole) creating a level drive from the top of the first cut down hill back to the logging road.

The approach from the road is fairly steep, and has washed out in several rain storms.   I had originally it patched with cracked blacktop prior to construction.  The drive follows the logging road angling to the right until it curves into the woods back to the cabin site. Beyond the cabin is a slope dropping 55 ft. to the lake.
