Now it's our turn to show folks how to get things done.

The floor trusses were in place by lunch on the first day. Dale Schott (my brother) is getting us back to work after eating. Dad told us that Grandpa could pick out good worker by how fast he eats. We all laugh, because we all were just wolfing the food down.

All the walls were up by the end of the second day.

On the third day, the roof trusses went up in 2 hours 15 minutes in a thunder storm. The crane guy rolled his eyes, but kept standing them up, so as the rain got heavier, and the lightning closer, we went faster. We figured if it strikes, it will hit that 90' boom first. This shot was taken after it cleared that afternoon, and before I fell on the H-clip doing the next row of plywood. (I'm the one in the yellow hat.)

This is the "business side" of the place on the 4th day. Chimney turned out different than expected but should look very impressive with the stone. Looks like we will need the deck to get this side completed.

The windows and doors were on by the 7th day. Nick (my son) and I are on the roof shingling.

Over the next 2 weeks we finished the siding and found we needed to do the deck,  to finish the siding on the lake side.
